A three-year letterwinner at Division I St. Joseph’s University, Jack Spallone is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Lewis men’s lacrosse program in 2020.
Spallone spent five years as an assistant coach at Lycoming College where he was the offensive and recruiting coordinator. He was active in all aspects of the program, Spallone oversaw the team's goalkeepers and also worked with the offense.
In 2019, he mentored the MAC-Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year, an honorable mention IMCLA All-Region selection, a First Team All Mac-Commonwealth performer, two second team performers and an honorable mention face-off specialist.
In 2018, he mentored four All Mac-Commonwealth selections which included two First Team performers and two Second Team performers.
In 2017, he mentored the Mac-Commonwealth Rookie of the Year.
Spallone earned three letters as an attackman with St. Joseph’s from 2009-11. One of the best players in Cortland High School’s history, Spallone was an Academic All-American that finished his career fifth in school history with 229 career points and second with 115 assists. He also played lacrosse with both the Onondaga Redhawks Jr. B’s, competing for the Founder’s Cup, and the Central New York Roadhawks.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in marketing and business administration from St. Joseph’s in 2012, Spallone moved on to Hendersonville (Tenn.) High School, where he led the eighth-grade team in 2014 and serving as an assistant coach with the varsity team in 2015, helping the team to the state semifinals and finishing with a 13-5 record.
Spallone also has nine years of experience in coaching club programs, working with the Central New York Road Hawks as an offensive assistant from 2009-11 before founding the Tennessee Revel Lacrosse Club in 2014. He's also the Director of the True Illinois Box Lacrosse Club where he organized and built the program to 92 kids in his first year. Spallone's team won the Bantam Gold Medal and PeeWee Bronze Medal at USBOXLA Nationals.
Spallone also served as an assistant coach for his father, John, with both the Road Hawks and at Cortland High School, where he worked with both the goalkeepers and attack when available between 2009-11.
