ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team fell, 14-13, in a wild game against No. 20 Indianapolis Saturday (May 4) on Senior Day at Brennan Field.
Before the game, the Flyers honored seniors

Angelo Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic),
Gavin Kriegel (Hampshire, Ill./Hampshire),
Ryne Meriel (Niles, Ill./Carmel Catholic),
Kyle Hussey (Mokena, Ill./Providence Catholic),
Michael Sclafani (Oak Brook, Ill./Montini Catholic), and
Dru Jasnoch (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township). Lewis also honored Hall of Famers Rick Baranak and Tom Brennan with a pregame jersey retirement ceremony.

GAME SUMMARY
After the first two innings were scoreless, Lewis struck first as
Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill.) hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third, scoring Keaty. Indianapolis responded with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth to tie it at two.
The Flyers went back on top with a huge bottom of the fifth as Fox smashed the first pitch out to straightaway center for a leadoff homer.
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) followed up with a bomb to right field later in the inning to make it 4-2 Lewis.
Cantelo hit the third home run of the inning, a two-run shot to left that scored
Jason Krol (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence), to bring the lead to 6-2. Fox went yard again in the sixth, a three-run shot that brought Kriegel and Keaty home to make it 9-2 Flyers.
The Greyhounds came back to take the lead with an eight-run inning in the top of the seventh to make it 10-9. UIndy then added to its lead with two more in the eighth to bring it to 12-9.
Kocen hit his second home run of the game in the bottom half, a solo shot to get Lewis within two, 12-10. Indianapolis hit a two-run home run in the ninth to make it 14-10.
Keaty launched a three-run blast with two outs in the bottom half, scoring Alt and Fleischauer to get Lewis within one, 14-13. The Greyhounds were able to get the last out and escape with the victory.
Luke Brown (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) started on the mound for the Flyers and worked three scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk.
Kyle Hussey (Mokena, Ill./Providence Catholic) (0-1) took the loss after allowing two runs on four hits while getting one out.
