SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 47 Lewis men's tennis team fell to No. 21 Drury 5-0 Saturday (April 21) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference semifinal contest.
The loss moves Lewis, the No. 2 seed in the East Division, to 12-10 overall, while Drury, the No. 1 seed in the West, moves to 18-3.

In doubles matches, it was Sebastien Amato and Leonardo Cerri over
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) and
Oskar Lusti (Tallinn, Estonia) 8-4,
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) fell to Nico Hadeler and Lukas Stierling 8-6 and
Chandler Stimpert (Graceland, Ill./Morton) and
Brendan Peterson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) lost to Augustin Diot and Paul Porcher 8-4.

In the finished singles matches it was Norasith falling to Diot 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 and Levitin falling to Porcher 6-0, 6-1.

The Flyers now await their postseason fate. They are currently the No. 4 team in the Midwest Region. The top eight teams qualify for the regional, which begins April 30.
