Romeoville, Ill. - Missouri-St. Louis broke a 3-all tie with wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles to clinch the 5-3 victory over the Lewis University men's tennis team in a Great Lakes Valley Conference Quarterfinal match-up at Romeoville High School on Friday (April 29).
With the victory, UMSL improves to 17-4 on the campaign and will take on No. 21 Indianapolis in a GLVC Semifinal showdown at 9 AM at Lewis' Jack Oremus Tennis Complex on Saturday (April 30). Lewis falls to 12-9 on the campaign and awaits its NCAA postseason fate.

Mate Srdanovic (Split, Croatia/Graditeljsko-Geodetska Tehnicka) accounted for two of the three Flyer victories on the afternoon. Srdanovic paired up with freshman
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) at No. 1 doubles for the 9-7 win over UMSL's Kristoffer Lindal and Robert White. Srdanovic went on to earn the 6-4, 6-1 triumph over UMSL's Fabian Frank at No. 1 singles.
Flyer sophomore
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) claimed Lewis' final win at No. 3 singles with the 6-1, 6-2 victory over Alberto Maza Martin.
