East Peoria, Ill. -
The No. 10 Indianapolis Greyhounds registered nine runs over the final four innings to claim the 11-4 victory over Lewis University in a Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament semifinal contest at Mizuno Field on Saturday (May 2) evening.

Highlighting that stretch was a grand slam off of the bat of UIndy center fielder Casey Williamson that put the Greyhounds ahead 9-4. As a team, UIndy took Lewis starting pitcher Lainie Schweickert (Peru, Ill./St. Bede Academy) deep three times, including back-to-back jacks from catcher Jenny Thompson (3-run) and outfielder Jessie Noone (solo) in the fourth inning. Four different players recorded at least two hits and two different players notched at least three RBI for the Greyhounds.

With the victory, Indianapolis improves to 42-11 while the Flyers' season comes to an end with a record of 27-22. The Greyhounds and No. 2 MIssouri-St. Louis will square off on Sunday (May 3) for the GLVC Championship.

Schweickert (10-9) allowed nine earned runs and nine hits, while fanning four Greyhounds. Indianapolis relief pitcher Morgan Foley (33-6) came on in relief to earn the victory. Foley allowed just two hits and struck out six batters in 2.2 innings of work.

Lewis sophomore third baseman Carolyn Nojiri (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) was a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish and drove in a run to lead the Flyers offensively. Freshmen Jenna Cairo (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) and Sarah DeMasi (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) each went 2-for-4. Cairo drove in a run, while DeMasi scored once.
