FOR OPENERS - Lewis head coach Lisa Carlsen is 3-4 in home openers for the Flyers.

D1 AND DONE - Lewis made history this year before the season even started by becoming the first non-DI school to defeat three DI teams in exhibitions. The Flyers topped Loyola-Chicaogo, Northern Illinois and Marquette.

POLL RESULTS - Lewis is ranked No. 9 in the preseason NCAA Division II USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll. A few more wins could put the Flyers in position for the highest ranking in school history. That title goes to the 2006-07 squad that reached a high of No. 7.

ONLY ONE WIN NEEDED - Thanks to Lewis' season opening win over Saginaw Valley State, Lewis head coach Lisa Carlsen is now the program leader in wins. It was her 118th career win. She passed Brian Michalak's (1993-2002) career total of 117-126.

START EM UP - Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) has started all 59 games she has played in a Lewis uniform.

CLEANING THE GLASS - Junior Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) recorded 21 points and 22 rebounds in Lewis' 83-75 victory over Northwood on Nov. 15, 2014. Her 22 rebounds was one short of tying the Lewis program record for rebounds in a single game. Julie Fruendt holds the record with 23 boards against Valparaiso during the 1984-85 season.

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Junior Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) has made 7-of-14 (.500) 3-point attempts over the first two games of the season.

EXCELLENT ALEXUS - The Flyers have benefited from the return of senior Alexus Grayer (Washington, Ill./Washington). The sharpshooter missed last season due to injury. She has returned this year and is one of the first Flyers off the bench. She scored 12 points against Saginaw Valley State and 16 in Lewis' win over Northwood.

PERFECT 10 - Lewis had 10 players score a basket in the Flyers' 85-60 win over Saginaw Valley State on Nov. 14. Starters Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) and Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) both took just one shot, they both made it, in the contest. Reinhart recorded a career-high five steals in the game.

50/50 - Lewis shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) against Saginaw Valley State. Lewis won all six games in 2013-14 and four in 2012-13 in which the Flyers shot better than 50 percent. The last contest Lewis lost when they made 50 percent of their attempts was Jan. 28, 2012 against Saint Joseph's. The Flyers fell 87-82 to the Pumas after making a season-high 52.6 percent (30-of-57).

FREE FOR A REASON - By the numbers, the two best free throw shooters in school history are on the roster. Entering the season, Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) ranked first in career free throw percentage (.846) while Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) ranked second (.831).

QUARTER OF A CENTURY - Lewis enters Saturday's match with Upper Iowa on a 25-game home win streak. The Flyers' last home loss came Nov. 24, 2012 to Central Missouri. Lewis lost that contest 84-77. It is the second longest current streak in NCAA DII. Only Colorado Mesa's 38-game streak is longer. Below is a look at all of Lewis' wins in the streak, with score and margin of victory. Of note, Lewis' average margin of victory in the streak is 13.2 points. The Flyers have won 20 of the 25 games by eight or more points, with 17 coming by double-digits.
