The Flyers earned their first confrence tournament title since the 2010-11 season.

Sam Rinehart (Marion, Iowa/Marion) were named to the GLVC All-Tournament Team while Reinhart earned Most Outstanding Player honors.
The Flyers improve to 24-5 on the season while the Saints close out the season at 19-10.

“I had envisioned that we would be able to run the floor and wear them out,” Lewis head women's basketball coach
Lisa Carlsen said. “And that is what we did. It's tough to play back-to-back-to-back games and sustain your legs, shooting from the arc like Maryville does.
“I think our transition and our ability to run the floor was the difference in the game in the second half.”
Lewis used their up-tempo offense to extend their lead to a game-high 27 points with four minutes to go in the second half. Henley caught fire in the later half, scoring 13 points on four-of-five shooting from the field and from the free throw line. She also pulled down eight rebounds, blocked two shots and got one steal.
The squads exchanged six tie-ups in the first half before Lewis went on a 15-2 run to head into the locker room up 37-25. Henley made a three-pointer and two free throws while sophomore guard
Kristin Itschner (Metamora, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) hit a three-pointer to lead the Flyers.
Kate Childs led the Saints with 12 points while Samantha Robison pulled down 11 rebounds.
The Flyers wait for the NCAA to announce on Sunday evening to find out who the team will take on in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Midwest Regional later this week.
