Lewis' Ryan Jackson Named To Division II Bulletin Men's Basketball All-Freshman Team

Jackson, the 2012 GLVC Freshman of the Year, averaged 13.0 points for the Flyers in 2011-12.

Fresh off of his 2012 Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year award, Lewis University guard Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) can add Division II Bulletin All-Freshman Team to his list of accolades.

"Ryan has certainly adapted to the collegiate game very well," Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost said. "He's stepped right in and proven that he can compete in easily the toughest conference in America."

Jackson averaged 13.0 points-per-game, which was the highest scoring average by a Lewis freshman since Flyer Hall of Famer Larry Tucker averaged 14.9 in 1979-80. He also finished with the highest scoring average of any freshman in the GLVC.
