Wisconsin-Parkside combined heavy hitting and quality pitching Wednesday afternoon and defeated Lewis 14-1 and 8-1 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader.
Ahren Baranski collected two of the Flyers' seven hits in game one. Baranski hit a solo home run, his second of the season, in the fourth inning and also had a double.
Lewis (14-31, 8-21 GLVC) had nine hits, all singles, in the nightcap. The Flyers' only run scored on a wild pitch in the ninth inning.
Lewis hosts Kentucky Wesleyan in a pair of GLVC doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday, the Flyers' final home games of the season. Game time both days is noon.
