Aaron Richardson

Aaron Richardson was named the first flag football coach in Lewis Athletics history on February 16th, 2026. 

Richardson joins the Flyers after coaching at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa since 2025. In 2025, Richardson led the Yellowjackets to their first-ever winning season, finishing 13–9, and secured the program's first appearance in the KCAC Conference Tournament. Individually, Shyla Barrios, Grace Jensen and Delaney Mondino earned All-KCAC Honorable Mention accolades as well. 

A native of Seattle, Washington, Richardson graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School, earning three varsity letters in football and four in track. He garnered five First Team and two Second Team All-Conference honors in track & field. He continued his track career at the collegiate level at Concordia University Irvine where he qualified for the PacWest Championships all four years in the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles. During his senior campaign, he earned First Team All-Region honors in the 60m hurdles, and still holds two school records in the 110m hurdles and 60m hurdles.

Richardson holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching and a Master's degree in Business Administration, both from Concordia University Irvine.
