Danny Wuestenfeld

Danny Wuestenfeld joins Mike Vuscko and the Lewis Flyers Baseball Program to be a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Wuestenfeld played all four years at Central Michigan University as a first baseman for the Chippewas and has two MAC Championships while heading to the NCAA Tournament twice. 
 
Danny had an amazing career for the Chippewas. In 2021, he was a backup first baseman who appeared in 29 games with 10 starts. In 2022 for his sophomore campaign, he became the starting first baseman and didn’t leave that role until his final game his senior year in 2024. Danny finished his career with a .283 career average, .442 SLG%, 20 homeruns, 40 doubles, and 142 RBI’s. Career doubles total ties for 10th in program history, and career RBI total is 10th in program history for a single season. 
 
Wuestenfeld hails from Joliet, Illinois and attended Joliet Catholic Academy for all 4 years. He got his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Central Michigan University and a minor in coaching.
