ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University women's cross country team is hoping to ascend into the top half of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2003, and the Flyers will rely heavily on a highly touted newcomer to help them reach that goal.

Junior Breanna Wabick is a transfer from the University of Illinois who garnered numerous all-state honors in cross country and track as a prep runner at Sandburg High School. She will be the team's No. 1 runner.

The Flyers' returning cast consists of senior Traci Hoglund, juniors Belinda Hawkins and Erin White, and sophomore Tarah Sobodas.
