EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University women finished 15th among 21 teams Saturday at the Border States Cross Country Invitational.

Juliann Szablewski was Lewis' top competitor in the 198-runner, 5,000-meter race. Szablewski placed 58th and covered the circuit in 20:20.19.

Also running for the Flyers (449 points) were Tarah Sobodas (97th, 21:14.02), Amanda Hammond (130th, 22:26.62), Belinda Hawkins (136th, 22:39.60), Cathea Pitts (138th, 22:49.65) and Traci Hoglund (141st, 22:51.31).

Lewis hosts the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships Oct. 25 at Dellwood Park in Lockport.
