PEORIA, Ill. - The Lewis University women's cross country team finished fourth among four teams in the non-NCAA Division I competition at the Bradley University Open Sept. 12. Lewis scored 73 points and trailed Olivet Nazarene (30), Illinois Central (54) and Greenville (61). Juliann Szablewski was the Flyers' top runner, finishing fourth among non-Division I athletes and 83rd overall. Szablewski covered the 5,000-meter course in 19:50. Also competing for Lewis were Tarah Sobodas (eighth non-Division I, 120th overall, 20:48); Traci Hoglund (18th, 158th, 22:55); Cathea Pitts (20th, 162nd, 23:26); and Belinda Hawkins (23rd, 167th, 24:14). |
