FINDLAY, Ohio--Freshman Aubrey Dondlinger had nine kills and hit .600, as the Lewis University women's volleyball team breezed to a three-set victory over Concord College at the Towne Suites Classic hosted by the University of Findlay. Lewis (7-2) cruised to a 30-11, 30-10, 30-19 win over Concord (0-1). Dondlinger helped power a Lewis attack that hit .276 and limited Concord to a -.043 hitting percentage. The freshman outside hitter did not have an error in 15 attempts. Junior Theresa Nugent led Lewis (7-2) with a match-high 13 kills. Senior setter Abby Hodge handed out 38 assists and had a pair of service aces. Defensively, Andrea Morrone tallied a match-high 18 digs, while Sarah McKinney had 12 digs. Redshirt freshman Sylvia Ciezak only played the third game, but she led the team with three blocks. Lewis returns to action Saturday with matches against region foes Hillsdale (1 p.m.) and host Findlay (3 p.m.). |
