ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Freshman Colleen Mitros led a balanced Flyers' attack with nine kills, to help lift No. 25 Lewis to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 26-24) sweep of Winona State on Saturday afternoon. Mitros also added eight digs in her best match as a Flyer. Juniors Stephanie Sagat and Kim Richards added eight and seven kills respectively. Richards also added three aces. Sophomore setter Rachel Ruedi recorded a double-double with 26 assists and a match-high 15 digs. Sophomore Danielle Mount continued to show promise, recording five kills with only one error and notching four blocks (two solo). The Flyers held Winona State to -.033 hitting percentage for the match. Lewis hosts Western New Mexico at 7 p.m. tonight to close out the 2008 Flyer Festival. |
