Michigan Tech Box Score Nova Southeastern Box Score

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The No. 25 Lewis Flyers took two matches on the first day of the 2008 Flyer Festival. Lewis defeated Michigan Tech 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16) and swept Nova Southeastern (25-23, 25-19, 25-21).

In the victory over Michigan Tech junior Stephanie Sagat had her best match of the young season with 21 kills, six digs and an ace. Junior Kim Richards added 13 kills and a match-high four digs. Senior Lauren Hatter and freshman Lauren Seliga each had double-digit digs with 13 and 11 respectively. Sophomore Danielle Mount had the best match of her career with 12 blocks (four solo) and two kills.

Later in the evening the Flyers saw Sagat and Seliga each register 12 kills against Nova Southeastern. Sophomore setter Rachel Ruedi had 36 assists, four digs and two blocks (one solo).

The Flyers are now 3-3. They take on Winona State at 2:30 p.m. and Western New Mexico at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
