ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - For a second straight day, Charisse Steckling and Stephanie Sagat helped power the Lewis Flyers to a pair of victories.

Sagat totaled 25 kills with 23 digs and Steckling had 24 kills while hitting .451 as the Flyers swept Davis and Elkins (30-23, 30-12, 30-20) and Shepherd (30-18, 30-25, 30-20) Saturday at the Flyer Festival.

In the match against Davis and Elkins, Sagat hit a match-high .542, while Steckling hit .345 with no hitting errors. Theresa Nugent posted a match-best 15 kills with one error to hit .452 and added 13 digs. Lauren Hatter had a team-high 15 digs, while Andrea Morrone added 11 digs.

The Flyers hit .354 for the match, compared to .040 by Davis and Elkins. Lewis also held a 5-1 edge in blocks.

Against Shepherd, Steckling hit .591 with 14 kills and only one error, and Sagat had 12 kills with a .308 hitting effort and also nailed four service aces. Sarah McKinney led all players with 17 kills. Lauren Hatter posted a match-best 19 digs.

Lewis finished the Flyer Festival with a 4-1 record and three players were named to the all-tournament team. Sagat was named to the all-tournament team at outside hitter, Steckling made the team at middle blocker and Hatter got the nod at libero.
