HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - SIU Edwardsville put an end to the Lewis University women's volleyball team's season with a 3-1 defeat at the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament. The Flyers fell 22-30, 22-30, 30-27, 26-30 to conclude its season 16-12 overall and 8-7 in GLVC play.

Senior Katie Gilman finished her career playing well as she led the team with 20 kills, 12 digs, five blocks and hit .436.

However, the Flyers hit .166 as a team due largely in part to SIUE's 14.5 team blocks. The Cougars (25-6) were led by Heather Bonde's match-high nine blocks.

Sophomore Val Olis gave the team a viable secondary offensive weapon putting down 13 kills. No other Flyer had more than six kills.
