Position:
Assistant Coach

Ashley Ritter enters her second season at Lewis as the team's graduate assistant coach.

Ritter joined the coaching staff after concluding her playing career at Western Michigan University. Hailing from Lockport, Ill., she twice earned All-Mid America Conference second-team honors as a setter for WMU. She finished her career second on WMU's career assists list with 3,568 and placed 19th on the MAC career assists list (3,530).

A hitting setter, Ritter led the Broncos in attack percentage (.306) and service aces as a junior. She ranked fifth in the league in hitting percentage and was the lone setter listed among the conference leaders. She registered 12.67 assists per game as a sophomore to rank fourth in the MAC, was 10th in the league as a junior, and closed her career fifth in the MAC her senior year.

Ritter was a leader for the Broncos and helped the team claim the MAC regular-season championship in 2000. Ritter was a three-year letterwinner for Lockport and helped the Porters to conference and regional titles her senior year. She was named all-state and all-conference during her career and was also selected Chicago Tribune Honorable Mention All-State.

Ritter graduated from WMU in 2003 with a degree in marketing. She plans to pursue an MBA with an emphasis in marketing at Lewis.
