EAST PEORIA, Ill. - Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year Kaitlin Colosimo pitched a six-hit shutout for Southern Illinois Edwardsville to lead the No. 13 Cougars to a 5-0 win over No. 7 Lewis in a GLVC semifinal game Saturday afternoon at the Eastside Centre. Top seed Lewis (33-11) now faces No. 3 seed Missouri-Rolla in an elimination game at 5 pm. Courtney Lyons (15-4) suffered the loss in the circle for Lewis. Jenna Howard pitched three innings of relief, allowing only one hit. Beth Shelus went 2-for-4 for the Flyers. |
