VALPARAISO, Ind. - Bethanee Taylor scored her third goal of the season, but the Lewis Flyers fell to Valparaiso 5-1 Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game. Taylor's goal, which was unassisted, came just three minutes and 38 seconds into the game. Lewis held a 1-0 lead until 19:29 when Valparaiso's Jen Bartels evened the score. Kendall Brown put Valparaiso up for good at 31:42. Sarah Jewel added a pair of goals at 32:39 and 41:47, and then Brown scored her second of the game at 57:06. The Flyers had eight shots compared to 25 by Valparaiso. Valparaiso had a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks. Flyers' goalkeeper Lindsay Frederick had 10 saves. |
