RENSSELAER, Ind. - Bethanee Taylor scored twice and Allison Wilkerson had one goal as the Lewis Flyers defeated Saint Joseph's 3-1 Sunday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest. Taylor tied the game at 1-1 when she scored her first goal of the season at 30:29 with an assist from Amy Foran. Taylor tallied her second goal of the game at 76:14 off a penalty kick. Wilkerson's goal, her first of the season, came at 33:54 off a corner kick from Courtney Kettel. The goal put the Flyers in front for good at 2-1. Flyers' goalkeeper Lindsay Frederick stopped five shots, while Saint Joseph's keeper Katie Awerkamp made six saves. Lewis held a 12-11 edge in shots, with seven of those going on goal. |
