Oct. 3, 2004 DECATUR, Ill. - Lewis University is in fifth place following Sunday's first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship at Hickory Point Golf Course. Southern Indiana leads the 36-hole event at 300, followed by Northern Kentucky (307), Southern Illinois Edwardsville (321), Indianapolis (323) and Lewis (341). Quincy (353), Missouri-St. Louis (359), Bellarmine (362), Saint Joseph's (368) and Kentucky Wesleyan (375) round out the standings. Lewis' Lyndsey Krieger enjoyed a strong first round, carding a 77 to tie for sixth place among 49 golfers. Michelle Dudek (86) is 25th, Vanessa Nomura (88) is tied for 26th, Chantelle Mika (90) is tied for 32nd and A.J. Lagerhausen (95) is tied for 38th. The tournament concludes Monday. |
