July 26, 2006 ROMEOVILLE - Lewis University's Lyndsey Krieger is one of 371 women's golf student athletes from NCAA Divisions I, II and III named to the 2005-06 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. The criteria for selection to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team are among the most stringent in intercollegiate athletics. All golfers must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, and an NCAA Division II competitor must compete in at least 66 percent of her team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the season. In May, Krieger completed work on a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport management with minors in fitness management, business administration and coaching. She made the Lewis Deans' List seven times, was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic team all four years and was a four-time recipient of Lewis' Brother David Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student athletes. Krieger finished second in scoring average for the 2005-06 Flyers and tied for 15th place at the GLVC Championship. She led the team in scoring average as a sophomore and junior and placed 14th as a junior, tied for eighth as a sophomore and tied for 14th as a freshman at the GLVC Championship. |
