ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University senior Amy Sachs (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale South) has earned an invite to compete as an individual at the 2009 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship Super Regional One Championship to be held May 3-5 at the Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pa. The event is hosted by California University of Pennsylvania. Sachs represents one of four individual golfers selected for the tournament. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each of the four super regional sites will advance to the championships. The 2009 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships will be held May 13-16 in Findlay, Ohio. "We will go to Cal-Pa. in hopes that Amy will continue her great play and qualify individually for the national tournament," head coach Skip Steffey said. "No matter the outcome it is a great step forward for the program as well." Sachs is competing in her first super regional event. Last week she was named All-Great Lakes Valley Conference thanks to her sixth place performance at the GLVC Championships.
