MADISON, Ill. - Top-five finishes by Lewis University golfers Jamie Siedlaczek, Amy Sachs and Teresa Sandri helped the Flyers conclude their fall season on a high note with a dominating win at the Missouri-St. Louis Invitational at Gateway National Golf Course. Siedlaczek, a junior, led Lewis for a fourth time this fall, finishing second overall (80-75=155) among 28 golfers. Sachs and Sandri tied for third overall, each shooting 157 for the tournament. Sachs, a junior, followed an opening-round 81 with a final-round 76, which tied her single best round of the season. Sandri, a freshman, carded 78-79=157, scoring a season best with her first round. Sophomore Allison Snyder (84-81=165) finished 12th, setting a personal best for the season in consecutive rounds. Sophomore Carly Keeler(88-78=166) was one stroke behind in 13th place. Her 78 was a season best. The Flyers (323-308=631) placed first among five teams, including Great Lakes Valley Conference foes Bellarmine (648), Missouri-St. Louis (664) and Kentucky Wesleyan (703). Lewis' best round of the fall prior to this tournament was 325. |
