Oct. 2, 2006 HUNTLEY, Ill. - Lewis University golfer Jamie Siedlaczek enjoyed a strong outing at Northern Illinois University's Huskie Classic Sunday and Monday. Competing against golfers representing 10 NCAA Division I teams, Siedlaczek tied for 20th place. She fired an opening-round 6-over-par 78, including a front-nine 36, and finished with an 81 for a 36-hole total of 159. The 78 is her best score of the season. Also competing for Lewis were Michelle Dudek, 53rd (89-85=174); Allison Snyder, 60th (91-89=180); Carly Keeler, 62nd (89-98=187); Amy Sachs, 63rd (83-106=189); and Britta Halpin, 64th (97-95=192). Sachs' 83 is her best round of the season. With a first-round 339, the Flyers just missed equaling or topping their season-best round of 338 compiled at Grand Valley State's Laker Fall Classic. Lewis had a 353 in the second round and finished 11th with a 692 total. |
