AVALON, Wis. - Junior Jamie Siedlaczek carded a career-best 72 on Sunday to finish second overall and help the Flyers to a third-place team finish at the 14-team Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational at Prairie Woods Golf Course. Siedlaczek's even-par 72 followed an opening-round 82 for a 154 tournament total. She finished three strokes behind tournament champion Jessica Urban of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Siedlaczek's previous best round was 75 at the GLVC Championship in 2006. Junior Amy Sachs finished fourth overall (76-81=157). Her opening-round 76 topped her previous career-best round by two strokes. It also was the low round among the 85-golfer field on Saturday. Also scoring for Lewis were sophomore Carly Keeler in 20th (85-87=172) and senior Vanessa Nomura in 21st (88-85=173). Freshman Teresa Sandri finished tied for 43rd (91-92=183). The Flyers (656) finished behind Wisconsin-Stevens Point (638) and Illinois Wesleyan (640) in the team standings. Lewis competes next at the North Central Invitational on Tuesday. |
