OAK BROOK - Rachel Parks carded a season-best 80 Wednesday to collect medalist honors and lead the Lewis University women's golf team to a decisive victory at Elmhurst College's Lady Bluejay Classic. Parks was 8-over-par on the 5,341-yard Oak Brook Golf Club course and beat 31 other golfers to claim the title. Jamie Siedlaczek tied for second (84), Michelle Dudek tied for fourth (86), Amy Sachs tied for seventh (89) and Vanessa Nomura tied for 10th (91). Also competing for the Flyers, whose 339 team score was 15 strokes better than runner-up Robert Morris, were Lyndsey Krieger and Nicole Mason, tied for 21st (99), Amanda Lagerhausen, 24th (101), and Lisa Huebsch, 26th (105). The victory was the second of the season for the Flyers, who earlier won at Carroll College. |
