April 3, 2007 LOCKPORT, Ill. - Amy Sachs of the Lewis University women's golf team registered another strong outing over the weekend, tying for second place among 46 golfers to lead the Flyers to a runner-up finish at the University of St. Francis Spring Invitational. With an opening-round 6-over-par 78 at Broken Arrow - the low round of the tournament - Sachs fired her career-best score for a second time in the last three outings. She turned in a final-round 85 to finish at 163, just three shots off the pace. Jamie Siedlaczek, Michelle Dudek and Carly Keeler also finished in the top 20. Siedlaczek (88-86=174) tied for 14th, Dudek (89-86=175) tied for 16th and Keeler (84-92=176) tied for 19th. Allison Snyder (88-90=178) finished 23rd, while Nicole Mason (99-97=196) placed 36th. The Flyers carded team scores of 338 and 347 for a 685 total. |
