NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis women's golf team opened its 2003 season with a third-place showing at the North Central College Cress Creek Invitational September 17. Flyer junior Chantelle Mika paced the team with a 92 that earned her fifth place in a field of 23 individuals. Sophomore Lyndsey Krieger (pictured left) was a few strokes behind at 95 and finished seventh. The Flyers carded a 392 team score that was third-best in the four-team field. Wheaton College won the event with a 364. North Central narrowly bested Lewis to finish second with a 390. Elmhurst College finished fourth (406). Freshman Michelle Dudek (10th) and junior Amanda Lagerhausen (16th) were competing in their first meets for Lewis and shot 98 and 107, respectively. |
