ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University women's basketball head coach Lisa Carlsen has announced the signing of Sierra West (Hartford, Wis./Slinger H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent. West, a 5-foot-6 point guard, set new school records for career assists and 3-pointers while at Slinger High School. Her senior season she was named Honorable Mention All-State, selected to the Division Two All-Star Game and made the Wisconsin All-Star Team. Also during her final year she led Slinger to a conference and regional championship, averaging 13.9 points, 5.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game. She was named All-Washington County first team her sophomore through senior seasons and first team All-Wisconsin Little Ten Conference junior and senior years. West's junior season she was named Conference Co-Player of the Year and honorable mention all-area. She was an honor student and Scholar Athlete Award winner all four years at Slinger. Aside from her four varsity letters in basketball, she also earned two in both soccer and cross country and one in softball. West is the first member of the Flyers' 2008-09 recruiting class. |
