ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Senior Andy Tremble of the Lewis University men's cross country team has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week.

Despite a directive from head coach Rick Wemple to run a relaxed, controlled pace, Tremble still finished second among 330 runners in the Maroon Division at Loyola University Chicago's Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational last Saturday. He covered the 8,000-meter distance in 25:32.

Lewis, ranked No. 23 nationally in NCAA Division II, competes in the Border War Invitational Saturday in Edwardsville.
