Nov. 19, 2005 CHINO, Calif. - Lewis University junior Andy Tremble earned All-America honors Saturday at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Tremble finished 32nd among 182 runners and covered the 10,000-meter course in 32:43.8. He is the Flyers' first All-American since Arturo Cabral earned the honor in 2001. "Andy did a terrific job in some very tough conditions," Lewis head coach Rick Wemple said. "It was hot and sunny, about 85 degrees, and the course was hilly and very challenging. Making the All-America team under those conditions is a great accomplishment for him." The All-America honor caps an outstanding season for Tremble, who won the Great Lakes Valley Conference title and finished sixth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship. |
