EDWARDSVILLE - The Lewis University men's cross country team tuned up for the upcoming Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship by finishing fourth among 26 teams Saturday at the Border War Invitational. The Flyers scored 149 points and trailed Rend Lake C.C. (77), Paradise Valley C.C. (88) and DePauw (112). Andy Tremble led Lewis, finishing 12th among 273 runners with a time of 26:02.06 on the 8,000-meter course. Larry Anzalone (21st, 26:27.41), Josh Thompson (33rd, 26:51.06), Juan Carrillo (44th, 26:59.46) and Sinan Khamo (49th, 27:02.68) joined Tremble in the Lewis scoring group, with Andrew Northrup (55th, 27:11.51) and John Fry (56th, 27:11.82) rounding out the Flyers' top seven. Also competing for Lewis were Larry Cardenas, 60th (27:13.57); Darren Orange, 69th (27:29.26); Chris Foley, 70th (27:29.83); Dustin Long, 81st (27:47.34); John Archer, 107th (28:12.95); Lamar Quinn, 113th (28:15.96); Adrian Myers, 115th (28:16.63); Evan Sather, 125th (28:26.45); Emory Burdette, 126th (28:26.81); Alberto Villa, 146th (28:42.47); Brad Fox, 159th (28:52.35); Phil DeSantis, 165th (28:59.42); Jared Lauer, 178th (29:17.22); Erik Donovan, 186th (29:30.12); Brandon Morreale, 195th (29:53.16); Alex Nemeth, 201st (30:05.53); Michael Skinner, 205th (30:08.04); and Chris Sievers, 235th (31:44.77).
