MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Andrew Northrup and freshman Andy Lepkowski each placed in the top 15 among a field of 255 runners to lead the Flyers to a ninth-place team showing at the Roy Griak Invitational Men's Maroon II Race Saturday afternoon. Northrup traversed the 8K course in 26:16 to finish eighth overall. Lepkowski was 13th, finishing the run in 26:28. Also scoring for Lewis were senior Sinan Khamo in 54th place (27:16), junior Jeff Ritzema in 71st (27:35) and senior Alberto Villa in 82nd (27:46). Junior Patrick Walsh (83rd, 27:47) and senior Adrian Myers (113th, 28:17), senior Kevin Dockemeyer (140th, 28:29) and freshman Seth Schultz (202nd, 29:56) also ran for Lewis. The Flyers (228 points) were ninth best among 25 teams. Minnesota State-Mankato (110 points) landed two runners in the top 10 on its way to the team title. |
