Sept. 30, 2006 CHICAGO - Andy Tremble of the Lewis University men's cross country team finished second among 330 Maroon Division runners Saturday at Loyola Chicago's Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational. Tremble covered the 8,000-meter course in 25:32. He was joined by teammates Jeff Ritzema, 79th (27:39), Alberto Villa, 83rd (27:43), and Mike Eck, 168th (29:13). "It was a pretty good day," head coach Rick Wemple said. "Andy finished second despite the fact that we ran a very controlled, relaxed pace. Jeff, Alberto and Mike also ran controlled races and ran as fast or faster than they did last year at this meet when they were trying to race their best." |
