Men's Team Results ELMHURST, Ill. - Sophomore Andy Lepkowski's second place overall performance helped lift the Flyers to a second place team finish (79 points) at the Elmhurst College Earlybird Invitational on Friday evening. Lewis had five runners finish in the top 30. Lepkowski (19:21) was followed by senior Kevin Dockemeyer (14th, 20:31) and freshman Scott Tanis (15th, 20:32). Not far behind were seniors Patrick Walsh in 20th place (20:55) and Jeff Ritzema in 28th place (21:33). Freshmen Ross Goers (32nd, 21:33) and John Deutsch (36th, 21:44) also ran for Lewis. The Flyers finished the 6k course with a combined time of 102:47, good for an average of 20:34. University of Chicago took first place with 33 points, and a total time of 100:12. The Flyers run again on Sept. 12 at the Bradley Open. |
