ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Nick Perakes posted a match-high 11 digs as the Flyers dominated Milwaukee School of Engineering 3-0 (30-17, 30-19, 30-18), Tuesday night at Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers improved to 8-16, while MSOE fell to 8-12 for the season. Other than Perakes and David Taylor, who led the Flyers with 20 assists, every player on Lewis registered at least one kill in the match. Sean Phillips led the balanced Flyers' attack, setting his season high with a perfect 5-for-5 hitting effort. Alex Vigansky and Craig Boller also contributed five kills apiece. David Kelnhofer, Billy Sahagian, Tom Garvey and Zak Krumlinde each added four kills. Garvey's total was his season high. The Flyers also received three kills each from Mykolai Zerebeckyj, Drew Pickering and David Kyner. The Flyers hit .423 compared to .125 by MSOE. Lewis also led in blocks, 9-4. Mike Mocchi led the Raiders with 14 kills, and Dan Goray chipped in with nine. Mocchi, and Michael Carillo led MSOE with six digs each. The Flyers play next at Ohio State on Saturday at 7 pm. |
