QUINCY, Ill. - Lewis goalkeeper Brian Byrne stopped seven Quincy shots on goal during regular play Sunday, but the host Hawks knocked in a penalty kick at the 55:19 mark for a 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer victory. The Flyers fell to 6-7 overall and 4-5 in the GLVC, while Quincy improved to 8-4-2 and 5-3-1. Lewis plays its final two GLVC regular-season home games this weekend, hosting Saint Joseph's Friday and Indianapolis Sunday in a pair of 2:30 p.m. starts. |
