SOMERS, Wis. - The Lewis University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference decision to 22nd-ranked Wisconsin-Parkside Thursday afternoon. The Flyers slipped to 9-4 overall and 7-4 in the GLVC, while league leader Wisconsin-Parkside improved to 10-2-1 overall and 8-2-1 in conference play. Lewis goalkeeper Anthony Szymel made three saves, while Cory Mastey tallied three of the Flyers' seven shots. Renaldo Vega scored the Rangers' first goal at 34:10 with assists from Mike Schuster and Johnson Thoa. Thoa (Bojan Jovicic assist) made it 2-0 at 44:56. The Flyers host non-conference opponent Truman State Sunday at noon. |
