LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Lewis turned in another strong defensive performance in Sunday's Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer game against Bellarmine, but a late first-half goal by the Knights resulted in a 1-0 win over the Flyers. Goalkeeper Brian Byrne made five saves for the Flyers (4-5, 2-3 GLVC), who have allowed just nine goals in nine games. Bellarmine (5-4-1, 3-2-1) scored at 37:38. Chad Manning netted his team-leading fifth goal of the season with an assist from Phil Glaser. Lewis hosts GLVC opponent Missouri-St. Louis Friday at 2:30 p.m. |
