EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Matt Settles scored the game's only goal in the 67th minute and goalkeeper Kyle Penick made eight saves Sunday to power Southern Indiana to a 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer victory over Lewis.

The Screaming Eagles (3-3 overall, 2-0 GLVC) won a 12th consecutive home game despite Lewis' domination of the statistics. The Flyers (2-4-2, 1-1) outshot USI 19-6, including 8-3 in shots on goal, and earned seven corner kicks to none for USI.

Settles' goal, his second of the season, was assisted by brothers Duncan and Ian Bray.

The Flyers play Friday at Southern Illinois Edwardsville, which co-owns the GLVC lead with Southern Indiana.
