July 16, 2007 ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University head men's golf coach Dennis Troy has announced the signing of Damien King (Joliet, Ill./Minooka Community H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent. King earned three varsity letters during a standout prep career. A two-time all-conference pick, King was named team and conference MVP as a senior. He averaged 76.2 during his senior season, helping his team to a second consecutive conference championship. King competed in six events with the Illinois Junior Golf Association (IJGA) in 2006, making six cuts and qualifying for the tournament of champions. His best finish was a first-place effort at the IJGA regional at Prairie Bluff. King also took second in the Joliet Park District Junior Tournament with rounds of 73-73-77. King is the son of Brett King and Rhonda Crowe. |
