NORMAL, Ill. - Lewis University sophomore Paul Dagys tied for 26th among 70 golfers to help the Flyers finish ninth at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, played at Weibring Golf Course on Sunday and Monday. Dagys (75-70-75=220) set his season best with his second-round score. He led Lewis for the first time this fall. Senior Brian Carlson (74-76-72=222) matched his season best with a final-round 72 to tie for 33rd overall. Sophomore Peter Tanaka (75-82-70=227) also equaled a season best with his final round to finish tied for 44th. Sophomore Josh Butterfield carded 74-79-76=229 to tie for 48th, and freshman Logan Watts turned in 85-79-81=245 to tie for 67th. The Flyers (298-304-293=895) set a season best with their final round, finishing ninth among 11 - all Division I - teams. The meet concluded Lewis' fall season. |
