May 9, 2008 FINDLAY, Ohio - Lewis University sophomore Josh Butterfield shot 78-73-78=229 to tie for 26th among 45 golfers at the 2008 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship super regional at Red Hawk Run Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio. Washburn, Indianapolis and Grand Valley State advanced to Nationals. Joe Juszczyk of Wayne State advanced as an individual. The finals are May 14-17 at the Division II Spring National Championships Festival in Houston, Texas, hosted by Rice University and the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority. It was Butterfield's first super regional event. He led Lewis this season with a 74.36 stroke average. He was Lewis' top finisher in eight of the team's 12 events. |
