May 3, 2006 LOCKPORT - Lewis University freshman Sumeet Arora shot a final-round 2-over-par 74 Wednesday and finished tied for 28th among 45 golfers at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Men's Golf Championship. Arora, one of five competitors playing as individuals in the regional tournament, carded scores of 80-75-74 for a 229 total on the par-72, 6,893-yard Prairie Bluff Golf Club layout. Arora, who earlier this season earned All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors by tying for fifth place at the GLVC Championship, concluded his first collegiate season as the Flyers' second-leading scorer (75.69 average). |
