Paul Dagys Shoots A Day Two 78 At Men's Golf Great Lakes Regional #3

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - Junior Paul Dagys (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) fired a pair of 78s to shoot a 156 in the cold and rain at Great Lakes Regional #3 held at Purgatory Golf Course held on Sunday and Monday.

Dagys' 156 led the team and tied for 41st. Sophomore Logan Watts (New Albany, Ind./New Albany) used an 80 and 81 to shoot 161 and tie for 60th. Junior Peter Tanaka (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) tied for 77th (75-92=167). Senior Greg Roderique's (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) 88-81=169 put him 81st. Nick Quagliano (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) tallied an 84-86=170 to tie for 85th.

The Flyers finished in 15th (317-326=643).

"If you were facing the wind some par fours couldn't be reached in two today," head coach Dennis Troy said of the conditions, "But the guys struggled and it's disappointing. It feels anticlimactic after they battled so hard at conference."

Ferris State edged (598) Indianapolis (604) for the championship.
