COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Lewis University men's golf team slipped from a tie for first place into a tie for third following Monday's second round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship. Lewis followed its opening-round 297 with a 306. The Flyers' 603 total ties them with Bellarmine for third place, 12 shots behind leader Northern Kentucky and six behind second-place Southern Illinois Edwardsville. Four of Lewis' five golfers are tied for 15th at 7-over-par 151, six shots off the pace. Sumeet Arora and Brian Carlson each carded a 4-over-par 76 in round two, while Josh Butterfield and Lloyd Roth each posted a 77. Greg Roderique turned in an 83 and is tied for 38th at 157. The GLVC Championship concludes Tuesday. |
